Ms.Versatility

I went shopping the other day and randomly stopped in a local HK boutique, which mind you I rarely do because I am usually disappointed...for reasons I will explain in another post. However, I was quiet surprised when I came across one of the most interesting bags I've seen in a while. I fell in love with the bag instantly.

These are 5 reasons why I absolutely adore this bag

  • Versatility: By snapping the bags together you can create 18 different style combinations. It can be worn casually during the day or you can jazz it up with a night time outfit. The gold hardware on the bag also goes perfectly with other gold accessories
  • Trendy: The simple design coupled with the bold colours (pink and green) definitely help to effortlessly play up the color blocking trend that's HOTTT this season.
  • Affordable: The bag costs 40USD and for that price I got a clutch, a shoulder bag and a wristlet all wrapped up in one.
  • Unique: I'm the kinda girl that likes to rock something that no one else has and for me this bag stands out above the rest
  • It's just a fun bag!!!...I will have tons of fun mixing and matching the colours and styles to create some really great outfits.

Have a great day!!!

Brown Sugar

I have never been to the Hong Kong Jokey Club before so yesterday some of my friends and I decided to check it out since it's on the list of must-dos in HK.The weather here is somewhere between winter and spring, so I decided to dress warm since the night was a little chilly. For my outfit I decided to go with a casually chic look while mixing different shades of brown.

Passion for Pastry

Pastry Passions Desserterie & Bakery is the wonderful creation of the brilliant baker Safiya Burton-Chisholm. This novel bakery brings together traditional Jamaican desserts such as delectable Sweet Potato Pudding and Black Forest Cake, yummy comfort food such as brownies and chocolate chip cupcakes, and other international sweet treats such as British Sticky toffee Pudding and the French dessert - Banana Macadamia Nut Financier.Even though I've visited this quaint little pastry shop several times before, I'm always caught off guard whenever I go because all the delightful pastry items seem to beckon out: Try me, Try me!! But I always give in to my favourites which are her decadent chocolate cupcakes with a dollop of chocolate frosting on top..... it's so simple yet so irresistible ahhhh it's just pure chocolate bliss. I also opted to try her brownies on my last trip to the desserterie but unfortunately they were a bit underwhelming, but not to worry the dessert menu includes a plethora of other scrumptious goodies like Hummingbird Cake, Rumballs, Roullade, milkshakes, and the list goes on and on.

Pastry Passions is located in the Sovereign Centre food court, but in the mean time you can feast your eyes on the pastry selection available by taking a look at the website HERE.

Hope I didn't make you too hungry ;)

I'll see you in my next post friends

Going East For Lunch

I had a huge hankering for sushi the other day so the bf and I decided to have lunch at one of Kingston’s premier location for Japanese cuisine called East Japanese (East for short). Tucked away in its own little hiding spot amongst the sea of restaurants at the Market Place shopping complex, East boasts a sultry ambience accented by simplistic Asian style décor and THE FOOD …..no words can describe how delicious everything tasted, East has its own team of Japanese chefs so everything is authentically prepared and irresistibly perfected.

Of course I had sushi for lunch and the bf had Teriyaki chicken, but we were pleasantly surprised when our waiter for the evening brought us a Canadian roll on the house!!! I was literally in sushi heaven. Our lunch order also came with a bowl of Miso soup with tofu and seaweed and a healthy serving of tossed salad drizzled with ginger dressing…. Am I making you hungry yet?

The restaurant definitely gets an A+ in my book, it’s a nice break from the typical Jamaican rice and peas and chicken that I normally have for lunch and I definitely implore you guys to check it out if you get the chance.
